Q: I'm trying to add value to my house with upgrades and although I have granit countertops, I have all white cabinets and appliances in my kitchen. Is this okay provided the house is nice, or are white cabinets/appliances unacceptable these days? If so,
A: Sandblasting/re-staining cabinets is a lot of work and very time consuming and could be expensive. I'd leave it white, especially since you have granite counter-tops - which are very desirable.
White is just fine, it's neutral and basic.
Im buying a new kitchen. I hadnt considered white units until i saw these white gloss looking ones which look fab. Anyone purchased these and how do you find their use (durability, cleaning etc)

For the Salisbury Post
When I was growing up, our kitchen was much different than those of today. The little pot-bellied stove in the corner burned coal and had a stovepipe oven which my father added. He looked everywhere to find it, only being able to locate it at the one place in Salisbury of which it was said at the time that everything could be found: O.O. Rufty’s. In that stovepipe oven, he baked the best cracklin’ cornbread!
The gas range was at the opposite end of the room (out of reach of the little coal stove’s sparks). Unlike some of the modern showroom kitchens, there was no central workspace, with countertop consisting of marble slabs or polished porphyritic granite.
I know it is a bit of a strange question but I have noticed that at many restaurants and a lot of homes too, I am just wondering why that is?
Even travelling to other countries it is still noticeable.
If you have not picked up already, I
I have a project I need to do about the White House and I don't know how many kitchens are in it.
