Black Squirrel
Q: I saw a squirrel tonight whose whole body was black and his tail was brown. What the heck is that? I have seen brown ones, black ones or gray ones, but never a black one with a brown tail. I took several pictures of him. Maybe he was a hybrid? Any idea?
A: NO...nor a different species!
Just plain old NORMAL VARIATION!
I saw a black squirrel with a white nose and white-tipped ears this morning in my yard. I've never seen anything like this animal. Looks like a skunk mated with a squirrel!
Incumbents Steve Hasbrouck and Larry Keleher won convincingly in Tuesday’s election to retain their board of director seats for the Cherokee Metropolitan District.
The three other board members — Jan Cederberg, Dave Hammers and Bill Beahan — face in a recall election May 22.
Hasbrouck said Tuesday’s victory was a statement by the voters of the district.
“I think the people have spoken,” he said. “I think the citizens are tired of being used.”
Hasbrouck and Keleher both said they are hopeful that their victories are an indicator that the recall will be successful, but they aren’t sure. Keleher and Hasbrouck are often at odds with Beahan, Cederberg and Hammers.
How does an animal become a black squirrel instead of a gray one since most squirrels are gray?
