Q: I live in a apartment and a few months ago the bathtub upstairs started leaking onto my ceiling. NOw we have a big crack in the ceiling and the ceiling has black spots on it. I think it is mold. The landlord finally fixed the bathtub upstairs friday.

MYERSTOWN - Borough Council heard a plea Tuesday from a resident frustrated with a problem that appears to have no quick solution.
Laura Belleman, 17 E. Richland Avenue, asked council what progress it has made in eliminating mold from a vacant house adjacent to hers at 19 E. Richland Ave. Belleman told council she was told by a contractor it would not benefit her to have mold treated in her basement until the black mold can also be removed from the adjoining house. She said her contractor sent a cost estimate to the borough to treat the mold in the vacant property.
